1. Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu

   Our team meets you at Kathmandu airport and drives you to Ethico Retreat, where you settle in, get a short welcome and rest.

2. Day 2Orientation and city tour

   Breakfast at the café, then trek preparation with your guide: local customs, the route on a map and a simple packing list. The rest of the day is a tour of Kathmandu to understand its culture, faith and the social issues behind our work.

3. Day 3Fly to Lukla (2,800 m/9,184 ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft): 40 min flight, 3–4 hours trek
4. Day 4Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): 5–6 hours
5. Day 5Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): Acclimatisation Day
6. Day 6Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870 m/12,694 ft): 5–6 hours
7. Day 7Tengboche to Pheriche (4,200 m/13,776 ft): 4–5 hours
8. Day 8Pheriche to Lobuche (4,930 m/16,170 ft): 5–6 hours
9. Day 9Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961 ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 6–7 hours
10. Day 10Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545 m/18,192 ft) and back to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 7–8 hours
11. Day 11Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535 m/18,159 ft) to Chhukung (4,730 m/15,518 ft): 6–7 hours
12. Day 12Chhukung to Island Peak base camp (5,200 m/17,060 ft): 3–4 hours
13. Day 13Pre-climb training on Island Peak Base Camp
14. Day 14Island Peak base camp to Island Peak summit (6,189 m/20,305 ft), back to base camp: 10–12 hours
15. Day 15Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985 m/13,074 ft) 5–6 hours
16. Day 16Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,286 ft): 4–5 hours
17. Day 17Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m/9,186 ft): 6–7 hours

19. Day 19Rest and debrief

    Breakfast at the café and a chat with the team about your trip, then a free day: mountain biking, bungee jumping or shopping for gifts are all options nearby.

20. Day 20Depart

    A driver takes you to the airport a few hours before your flight, after your last goodbyes.
